Prerequisites
An applicant for an MI certificate shall:
(a) hold a, FI, CRI, or TRI certificate, with privileges for single-pilot aeroplanes.
(b) hold a mountain rating.

The privileges of an MI are to carry out flight instruction for the issue of a mountain rating.
